Requirements

  • B. Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electricals
  • Master’s or equivalent experience in business administration, MBA (Strategy/Marketing)
  • Over 15 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience post-MBA from a Tier 1 college with a strong analytical background
  • Minimum sales experience of 2-3 years in any of the work experience profiles
  • Preference for candidates with marketing experience in Applied Markets such as Metals, Mining, Cement, Oil & Gas, Power in a direct sales organization
  • Knowledge in Conducting Market Analysis and Research, Managing Product Lifecycles, Developing Marketing Strategies, Achieving Commercial Excellence
  • Strong analytical abilities, Project Oversight, Communication and Teamwork, Strong leadership capabilities
  • Keen eye for detail and skilled at handling numerous projects at the same time
  • Key Traits: Leadership, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Problem-Solving, Adaptability
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis
  • Superb organization, communication skills, teamwork, experience with event marketing, trade shows

Responsibilities

  • Work with commercial, finance, and corporate strategy teams globally on long-term growth strategies
  • Conduct market sizing and identify market gaps
  • Evaluate competitive proposals and guide conversations regarding Product Lifecycle Management
  • Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies and decide on the modus operandi for filling product gaps to achieve year-on-year growth
  • Lead, align, and drive yearlong marketing plans along with budgets
  • Apply a mix of physical (events, customer days) and digital marketing tactics
  • Develop leads, opportunities, and drive marketing-influenced revenue for the division
  • Direct end-to-end processes with cross-functional support, vendor management, and internal and external customer engagement
  • Handle multi-stakeholder management at global and local India levels
  • Develop vertical market strategies to align businesses
  • Leverage different GTMs to drive cross-business sales
  • Promote a unified division approach and preferably one Thermo language
  • Enable commercial teams with critical information on key market and competition movements
  • Support informed business decisions and tap major potential early in the discussion value chain
  • Build and complete strategies to boost sales efficiency, customer engagement, pricing optimization, and overall commercial performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Drive data-driven decision-making, streamline go-to-market processes, and implement outstanding tools and practices to support business growth and profitability
