Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with over 5 years of manufacturing and/or restaurant/retail management experience, QSR experience is a plus. A Food Safety certification such as ServSafe, AIB Food Safety Basics, or equivalent is required, along with knowledge of donut/bakery production techniques/equipment. The role demands the ability to independently develop strategic and tactical plans, experience in solving business problems, and strong problem-solving skills including conflict resolution, mediation, and influence. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, auditing, and production manufacturing software is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to business partners and cross-functional teams, are necessary. The ability to work in a fast-paced team setting, build strong relationships, and motivate others is also required. Occasional 3rd shift work and late nights may be necessary.

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Business Consultant is responsible for overseeing between 25 and 30 highly complex Central Manufacturing Locations (CMLs) that supply donuts to Dunkin' restaurants. This role upholds brand standards and reputation while enhancing operational excellence and franchisee profitability through effective business planning, evaluation, and coaching. The consultant will lead all operations-related aspects of new CML openings, from kickoff to post-opening assessment, and use operational assessment tools to help franchisees maintain Dunkin' standards. Key liaison activities include providing feedback on quality, availability, creativity, process, and franchisee relationships with field team members. The consultant advises franchisees on implementing Dunkin' tools, processes, and systems, ensuring operating systems and training discipline are in place. Responsibilities include conducting operational and food safety audits, collecting facility data, evaluating business economics like cost per dozen, identifying and solving production cost roadblocks, and collaborating with franchisees on new product introductions. The role involves aligning CML strategy with Brand objectives through collaboration with cross-functional field employees and managing personal expenses, policies, and documentation of franchisee interactions. The position requires approximately 80% time spent in production facilities supporting franchisees.
