Minted is seeking a highly motivated, business-savvy, passionate, and detail-oriented Manager of Strategic Partnerships to join our Business Development team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design and retail, who is curious, intrinsically motivated, and eager to think strategically about growing impactful partnerships. The team currently focuses on the Art and Greeting Card verticals.

The Manager of Strategic Partnerships will play a critical role in scaling Minted's fast-growing wholesale businesses and creating major distribution opportunities for its community of 16,000 independent artists. Minted partners with major retailers and brands such as Target, Samsung, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, Williams Sonoma, Amazon, and DoorDash to source unique, artisanal designs supported by Minted’s scalable, high-quality manufacturing for stationery, wall art, and home decor.

This individual will be responsible for building strong relationships with partners and managing the day-to-day details to ensure the success of wholesale programs. Cross-functional collaboration is a critical aspect of this role. The position also requires the use of analytical and reporting skills to share key information with internal and external partners to drive business growth. This position reports to the Senior Director, Major Partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Build new wholesale partnerships with retailers and cultivate impactful existing relationships at both the Buyer and Executive levels.
  • Develop sales roadmaps to expand each partnership over time.
  • Own the overall strategy for each partner and help shape the direction of the relationship.
  • Identify sales performance issues and opportunities, communicate them to the team, propose hypotheses, and recommend clear next steps.
  • Act as a key cross-functional partner for supply chain, analytics, finance, merchandising, and brand marketing teams, managing internal relationships effectively.
  • Create presentations communicating the value proposition, sales strategy, and negotiation strategies for new partnerships.
  • Drive and track key success metrics, sharing key insights from weekly sales data.
  • Actively document and improve wholesale processes to help the team scale more efficiently.
  • Consult with the brand team on branding for in-store signage and packaging.
  • Impact product and display improvements by spending time in-stores to learn about products, observe displays, and provide feedback.

  • Experienced in driving continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 4-7 years of work experience; partnerships experience is a plus.
  • Very strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Mastery of Google Sheets, intermediate-level spreadsheet modeling, Google Slides, and presentation creation.
