Position Overview

Keeper Security is seeking an experienced and execution-oriented Manager of SLED (State, Local, and Education) Account Management. This role will support the Sr. Director, Account Management and lead a team of high-producing Account Managers within the SLED vertical. This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the Chicago, IL metro area.

About the Role

The Manager of SLED Account Management will oversee the State, Local, and Education Account Management team. This is a hands-on sales management position focused on contributing to predictable existing sales velocity and the professional development of high-performing sales representatives. You will manage the team responsible for client health and adoption of our cloud-based, award-winning cybersecurity platform. This is a highly strategic role with significant field interaction (pre and post-sale) and internal collaboration with product management and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of SLED Account Managers focused on renewals, expansions, upsells, and driving revenue growth.
  • Revenue Retention: Drive revenue retention through an efficient and scalable customer renewal engine.
  • Account Growth: Generate incremental bookings within existing accounts via subscription expansion and upsell of add-on portfolio products.
  • Client Relationship Management: Directly manage Tier 1, high-priority client relationships.
  • Onboarding & Support: Collaborate with Customer Support to ensure accurate and complete onboarding of new clients.
  • Sales Strategy: Partner with Sales to develop strategies and team goals to improve product penetration rates and expand Keeper’s footprint within existing customer portfolios.
  • Client Health Monitoring: Proactively monitor assigned client health through quantitative and qualitative means.
  • Contract Optimization: Own the optimization of contracts and other documents supporting renewals.
  • Team Scaling & Mentoring: Scale, recruit, and mentor a team of sales-driven account managers, ensuring the right structure, talent, and processes are in place for success.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage individual and team performance, providing coaching, training, and feedback to enhance productivity.
  • One-on-One Meetings: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with sales representatives to review performance, troubleshoot challenges, and strategize for success.
  • Deal Support & Coaching: Join customer calls alongside sales representatives to provide strategic support, assist in advancing deals toward closure, and deliver real-time coaching to optimize sales conversations and outcomes.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams.
