Candidates should possess 7+ years of revenue accounting experience in a fast-growing SaaS, technology, or subscription-based company, with a CPA certification strongly preferred. They should have strong expertise in ASC 606, particularly in software/SaaS revenue recognition, and a proven track record in process optimization, automation, and system implementation within a revenue accounting function.
The Revenue Accounting Manager will review and approve customer contract reviews for proper revenue recognition, take the leading role in the monthly financial close ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions and completeness of financial statements, maintain comprehensive documentation to support audit requirements and SOX compliance, identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities across quote-to-cash (QTC), revenue recognition, and financial close, implement best practices to enhance workflow effectiveness and operational efficiency, develop and implement standardized policies, procedures, and playbooks for revenue accounting processes, champion the use of AI, RPA, and analytics tools to improve forecasting, variance analysis, and audit readiness, act as the bridge between revenue accounting, deal desk, FP&A, IT, and sales ops, lead and mentor the revenue accounting team to ensure strong execution of revenue processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
