Position Overview

Position: Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Operations & Commercialization Specialist Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid) or Remote if located outside of area

Join World Kinect in driving the future of sustainable aviation. As a key member of our Renewable Fuels team, you’ll help shape and execute the commercialization and operational strategies for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) across both Business and Commercial Aviation. This role blends technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and market insight to support SAF physical operations, Book & Claim programs (SAFc), and sustainability certifications.

What You’ll Do

• Lead SAF Commercialization Initiatives
  • Support the development and execution of SAF strategies, with a focus on ground operations, blending, and business development.
• Collaborate Across Teams
  • Work closely with SAF suppliers, sales teams, ground operations, quality assurance, and IT to identify and support commercial opportunities.
• Provide Technical Expertise
  • Act as a technical resource for sales and operations teams, ensuring compliance and integrity in SAF physical fuel handling.
• Support Sustainability Certifications
  • Participate in audits and maintain compliance with global sustainability standards (RSB CORSIA, ISCC CORSIA, EU RED).
• Manage Back Office Operations
  • Operate across multiple systems including Oracle, Tender Management System (TMS), and SAF registries to support documentation, quoting, and proof of sustainability.
• Stay Ahead of Market Trends
  • Analyze SAF market dynamics, carbon trends, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and operations.
• Ensure Blending Compliance
  • Support SAF blending operations, ensuring adherence to ASTM 7655, ISCC, RSB, and customer-specific requirements.
• Educate & Advocate
  • Help develop internal and external training programs on SAF and SAFc.
  • Represent World Kinect in industry coalitions and trade groups.

What You Bring

• Passion for sustainability and energy transition
• Strong technical and operational understanding of aviation fuel systems
• Experience with SAF, carbon markets, or renewable fuels preferred
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex projects
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and certification audits
• Comfort working in fast-paced, tech-enabled environments

Job Requirements

• Proficiency in renewable fuels, including both commercial and physical operations (including blending).
• Developing expertise in renewable fuel standards and ground physical operations.
• Tenacious character and a genuine passion for proactively developing sustainability solutions.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communications skills to represent supply operations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly collaborative, works effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years experience in aviation, fuels, or renewable fuels.

Education

• Bachelors Degree in any field related to meet job key responsibilities.
• Masters degree preferred.

Specific Skills & Knowledge Required

• Experience in aviation or oil & gas industry.
• Experience in sustainable aviation and/or renewable fuel programs
• Experience with SAF and SAFc programs.
• Attention to detail is paramount.

Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements

• Focus on North America but global exposure, occasional travel.
