Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and have over 8 years of experience in Pricing & Proposals within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry. A minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience is required, along with expert knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical industry practices and terminology. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and expert-level experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems are essential. Experience with proposal/content management tools is a plus, as are strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Pricing & Proposals will lead the Pricing & Proposals team in India, ensuring high-quality deliverables and process excellence. Responsibilities include direct supervision of the team, task management, performance auditing, and escalation support. The role involves leading recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members, assigning and distributing work effectively, and collaborating with the Director to set and monitor annual goals. Key duties include reviewing proposals, pricing, Statements of Service, and Change Orders for accuracy, coordinating with Legal for client negotiations, and partnering with Strategic Pricing to implement client-specific pricing strategies. The manager will also lead pricing strategy discussions for complex programs, ensure compliance with pricing controls, drive operational efficiencies, maintain data integrity in CRM systems, manage monthly reporting, and develop departmental work instructions and templates. Additionally, the role requires providing interdepartmental training on proposal tools and processes and supporting initiatives related to proposal management tools and content.
