Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years and a Master's degree, or a PhD with 3 years of experience, and 7+ years of datacenter management and/or systems engineering management experience. They should also have 2+ years of experience working with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, and others), an intermediate understanding of AC/DC power calculations, exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems. Additionally, candidates should be willing to travel for first article inspections, trade shows, and possess excellent communication and customer skills, problem-solving, conflict management, listening, time management, and interpersonal skills.
As a Hardware Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will manage the sustainability of server, storage, and full-rack hardware standards, manage the process for maintaining server, storage, cloud service provider, and rack SKU documentation, design and implement new hardware designs and changes, document change management, maintain relationships with resellers and suppliers, ensure continuity of supply by identifying and validating alternates, work directly with hardware manufacturers to evaluate new technologies, design operational configurations, collaborate with engineering teams, manage daily work assignments, lead a team of engineers with troubleshooting and problem remediation, and provide career development leadership.
