Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in hardware program management, preferably within the wearable technology or consumer electronics industry. Strong project management skills and experience with NPI and sustaining programs are essential, along with familiarity with hardware development processes and methodologies. Experience with cross-functional teams and vendor management is also required.
The Hardware Program Manager will coordinate the work of hardware engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, firmware, system test, and compliance, to ensure successful product development. They will drive third-party deliverables, oversee NPI builds, and collaborate with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Business teams to achieve Go-to-Market Readiness. The role involves identifying and managing dependencies, interfacing with hardware engineering leadership, and proactively addressing issues to maintain program timelines. Additionally, they will contribute to BOM creation, technical specifications, and engineering change management, while driving engineering risk analysis and mitigation planning, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
