Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience within the EPC industries, in a relevant role and with strong project execution experience
  • Expert knowledge of SmartPlant suite of design and engineering tools (Smart3D, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart Electrical, Smart Review, Smart Interop Publisher)
  • Strong knowledge of methods for data-centric execution
  • Hands-on experience in software administration and programming on one or more tools within the Hexagon SmartPlant suite
  • A good understanding or demonstration of skillset with Structured Query Language (SQL), .NET API, SAM Web API, Azure hosted hardware/software infrastructure, would be considered a distinct advantage
  • LNG project execution experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on Hexagon SmartPlant suite of software tools - administration, configuration and support
  • Coordinate with IT teams to design and architect AVD based solutions for engineering software hosted on Microsoft Azure cloud tenant and ensure compliance with cyber-security practices
  • Interfacing directly with software vendors to escalate issues (bugs) and request new functionality to support Venture Global’s standard workflows, which needs a strong technical understanding of the software applications
  • Coordination and integration where required of engineering systems utilized in the design of LNG facilities
  • Having a focused and strong attitude towards data quality and consistency for the project on a day-to-day basis
  • Utilize API’s and underlying data model (Metadata) to develop and oversee deployment of engineering automation solutions to augment out-of-the-box functionality for maximizing tool utilization and optimizing engineering workflows
  • Developing and managing system workflows for multi-office execution within Venture Global’s Project tenant to ensure alignment of engineering systems
  • Develop and implement corporate standards and work practices for engineering systems that facilitate workshare and the propagation of high-quality data for downstream consumers
  • Coordinate with internal and external information technology (IT) to improve and troubleshoot software solutions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with project teams, and management while maintaining a structured approach of working within a larger integrated engineering solution
  • Develop and implement training materials and programs to ensure technology solutions are implemented in alignment with business strategy
