Position Overview

Jerry.ai is seeking a smart, scrappy, and customer-savvy Manager, Business Development to drive the growth of the supply side of our insurance marketplace. This role is crucial for expanding the value we offer our customers by identifying, pitching, and onboarding new insurance carriers. You will be instrumental in forging partnerships, even with those who are initially hesitant, by developing creative solutions and compelling narratives.

What You'll Do

  • Think creatively to solve complex and strategically significant business problems.
  • Be both strategic and hands-on: develop partnership plans, collaborate cross-functionally for execution, and own the results.
  • Source and close partnerships with insurance carriers to expand our marketplace offerings.
  • Develop tailored pitches and solutions, particularly for partners who may initially be hesitant to engage.
  • Represent Jerry professionally, clearly, and insightfully in external meetings.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, or similar roles, preferably within a high-growth startup or consulting environment.
  • Proven track record of driving and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Exceptional drive and intellectual curiosity; a self-starter obsessed with impact and outcomes.
  • World-class communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging senior executives with ease and precision.
  • An inherently creative and entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for finding breakthrough solutions.
  • An unwavering sense of ownership and urgency, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
