Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or Statistics, or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2 years of experience in data analytics. Required skills include experience with DBMS systems like SQL, Hive, and BigQuery for data transformation, proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, R, and VBA, and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. A strong foundation in statistics with applied experience in analyzing large datasets, including regression, linear and mixed integer programming, UCM, and ARIMA, is essential. Experience in transforming strategy into analytical approaches for areas like inventory optimization and network design, along with expertise in collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets using NumPy and Pandas, is also necessary. Proficiency in machine learning techniques such as Random Forest, Survivor modeling, Gradient Boosting, and Bootstrapping, along with experience in designing success metrics, transforming data into insights, and automating analytical platforms for testing across multiple business areas, is required.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Advanced Analytics is responsible for managing workstreams and individual projects end-to-end within a business area, category, or prototype, including managing associated implementation risks. This role involves partnering with leadership to understand business goals and challenges, developing hypotheses, and defining functional analytics and research objectives with tactical research plans. The manager will provide guidance and present actionable recommendations to leadership based on insights and research, and build relationships to support the implementation of business solutions. Key duties include developing data models and collaborating with project teams for implementation, managing the development and testing of prototypes and complex algorithms, and collaborating with experts to develop new data analysis techniques. The role requires addressing complex business problems through advanced analytics, making strategic recommendations based on data analysis, and guiding data analysis strategy and less experienced team members. Collaboration with functional leadership and cross-functional teams, as well as external partners and vendors, is crucial for developing consultative solutions. Additionally, the manager will build and lead a team, coach team members, conduct performance and career development conversations, maintain team motivation, and mentor less experienced associates.
