Candidates must have over 7 years of closing experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets. They should possess the ability to understand complex technical concepts, excel in communication with stakeholders at all levels, and demonstrate diligence and organizational skills for long sales cycles. Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn is also required, along with prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software, or knowledge of dbt.
The Majors Sales Director will be responsible for building out the strategic customer base throughout the Northeast region. This includes owning the full sales cycle from lead to ongoing utilization for enterprise prospects, organizing POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise, and winning 20 new dbt Cloud Enterprise customers per year. They will also lead and contribute to team projects to develop the sales process, work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap, and become an expert in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations while being an active member of the dbt open source community.
