Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance; 1 to 3 years of leadership or management experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control technology, and welding
  • Experience with safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
  • Proficiency in the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software
  • Preferred: Understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Maintenance Department, providing leadership, training, and direction to staff
  • Oversee all manufacturing equipment and facilities utilizing CMMS software and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure that accurate and appropriate staffing levels are achieved so all shifts have mechanical, electrical, and PLC support
  • Support production goals by driving KPIs that minimize downtime, increase quality compliance, and ensure department spend stays within budget
  • Maintain and organize machine, budget, and maintenance data for use by other departments and leadership
  • Promote quality improvements and implement training programs as required
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, hazardous materials handling, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in recruiting, training, evaluating employee performance, and recommending promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions
  • Demonstrate leadership through strong attendance, work ethic, adaptability to change, and alignment with company goals
