Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of experience in transportation management, specifically in trucking operations (LTL, FTL, last-mile)
Strong network and established relationships with transportation suppliers and carriers
In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, transportation regulations, and compliance standards
Proven negotiation skills and ability to secure competitive supplier agreements
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS)
Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage daily transportation operations, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery for LTL, FTL, and last-mile services
Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking suppliers and transportation providers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service
Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers and suppliers, focusing on cost savings and service improvements
Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service quality
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation strategies with overall business objectives
Analyze data to identify transportation inefficiencies and implement actionable solutions
Resolve transportation-related issues promptly and communicate updates to stakeholders effectively
Lead and mentor a team of transportation coordinators or support staff to ensure smooth operations
