Requirements

  • Experience with international and CONUS shipping and receiving
  • Experience with broker coordination and freight forwarding
  • Normal business hours are 7AM to 4PM EST
  • Experience with international Shipping & Receiving (Preferred)
  • Experience with Customs Invoicing

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization and tracking of inventory levels
  • Monitor and analyze inventory reports
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss or damage
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy
  • Manage the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Create and maintain a schedule for incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities
  • Prepare and submit reports to upper management
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations
  • Monitor and analyze logistics costs
  • Identify areas for cost savings and implement cost saving measures
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable pricing
  • Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes
  • Implement new strategies and technologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes
  • Supervises logistics staff (2 Direct Reports)
  • Understand team dynamics and effective management practices
