Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux administration. They must have expertise in various Linux distributions such as RedHat, CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu, as well as proficiency in networking protocols including HAPROXY, DNS, HTTP(S), LDAP(S), SMTP, SNMP, SSSD, and scripting languages like Shell, Python, Ansible, and RegEx. Experience with storage solutions like Ceph Storage and SANs, and cloud technologies including Openstack, Azure, AWS, and VMWare, is also required, alongside knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and LXC.

Responsibilities

As a Linux Administrator, the primary responsibility is performing high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations, and servers. This includes coordinating software installations, upgrades, and patching, troubleshooting complex issues between hardware and software components, scheduling installations, and monitoring system performance. The role also involves ensuring data integrity through audits and implementing appropriate solutions, planning and implementing server modernization, and establishing standard operating procedures. Furthermore, the administrator will provide infrastructure support for the Open Stack environment, engage with tenants and users of the Openstack Cloud Platform via chat services, and participate in R&D on new technologies and services within Openstack while reviewing and updating existing documentation.
