Requirements

  • Establish and enhance operational compliance for CKM's lending products
  • Collaborate closely with product, member success, deposit operations, engineering, legal, compliance, and risk teams
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks as a first line of defense
  • Cultivate a culture of compliance, ethical conduct, and risk awareness
  • Lead a team of subject matter experts, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a conducive working environment
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones to align cultural and business objectives, prioritize critical tasks, and coach for high performance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a thorough review process of lending regulations, procedures, and compliance training materials in collaboration with product, engineering, risk, member success, and other teams
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities for a centralized lending operations function covering various lending products and credit disputes
  • Coordinate development and delivery of ongoing education on applicable regulations, banking policies, and procedures for lending team members and member success agents
  • Ensure all lending operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Oversee regulation-specific reviews, identify issues and patterns, conduct root cause analysis, and formulate proposals/decisions for risk management and compliance resolution
  • Supervise implementation of corrective actions and validation as required
  • Serve as a first line of defense compliance resource for lending operations
  • Work with Internal Monitoring team for continuous monitoring to enhance first-line compliance accuracy, promote automation, and ensure consistency and effectiveness
  • Prepare and present analyses on regulatory adherence to banking partners and management, including trend analysis and remediation
  • Coordinate with internal Monitoring for responses to internal audit or regulatory examination requests and findings
  • Manage compliance-related vendor relationships and support/influence loan vendor relationships
  • Support additional initiatives and strategic projects as needed
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality with all information obtained
  • Collaborate with partner bank(s) to address new products, risks, and issues related to lending
