Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer trained and qualified with a reputable law firm or in-house department of a comparable company, with at least 6 years PQE
  • Demonstrated history in Commercial/IT/IP law
  • Grasp of complexities in software, technology, and data protection concerns
  • Business and risk savvy: ability to see the bigger picture, understand how legal matters fit into business objectives, assess, and manage risks across multiple matters
  • Outstanding drafting and technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to translate complex legalese into everyday language

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including license, professional services, consulting, statements of work, resale, distribution, sales, and licensing agreements
  • Provide commercial legal support to business units, including timely commercial advice and in-house training on key legal topics
  • Monitor compliance: track and offer recommendations on newest regulations and laws affecting Adobe, focusing on technology, AI, intellectual property, and data privacy/security
  • Drive process improvement: contribute to knowledge management, evolve legal processes, and lead departmental projects (e.g., AI chatbots, CLM, knowledge sharing, automation)
  • Provide project legal support: join working groups for new projects and business practices, bringing legal and business perspective
  • Conduct ongoing internal training sessions and provide continuous support on key risks to build a culture of compliance and confidence
