Responsibilities

  • Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice under the direction of preceptor and District Leader
  • Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
  • Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and compassionate service in all customer and colleague interactions to create positive patient experiences
  • Offer counseling, field medical questions, solicit patient medical history, take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers, and clarify prescriptions or facilitate changes (where allowed by state regulation and under direct supervision of licensed pharmacist)
  • Contribute to patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review (DUR), corresponding responsibility, and red flag detection
  • Maintain high self-awareness, provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to team members, and share best practices
  • Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories) as permitted by law and directed by leadership
  • Embrace a growth mindset and contribute to a high-performing, safe, and inclusive team culture
