Position Overview

Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Learning Design Professional 2 to leverage instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to identify and implement effective solutions for knowledge or performance gaps. This role involves varied work assignments that frequently require interpretation and independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze content, organize information, design learning solutions, and create storyboards, scripts, performance support materials, policy & procedure documents, job aids, and process flow documents.
  • Analyze learning needs and collaborate with subject matter experts to contribute to course content.
  • Write effective learning objectives and coordinate performance assessments to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Ensure course materials are current and relevant to evolving training needs.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of training programs by examining learner satisfaction, proficiency testing, and job performance improvements.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to Facilitators.
  • Plan, organize, and develop training curriculum, materials, job aids, job performance aids, and programs to meet specific training needs.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding tasks.
  • Utilize consultative skills to manage projects and conduct needs analyses with clients to determine the necessity and relevance of learning solutions.
  • Understand department, segment, and organizational strategies and operating objectives, including their interdependencies.
  • Make decisions regarding personal work methods, sometimes in ambiguous situations, requiring minimal direction and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience in learning design or learning facilitation.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in learning design, learning facilitation, adult learning strategies, and/or adult learning theories.
  • Prior experience working in a consumer-centric company leading the learning function or a related function.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Zoom, Adobe Tools, Articulate, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, Articulate products, Lucid Chart, Humana Learning Center, and CSOD.
  • Previous experience in utilization management.
  • Medicaid experience.
  • CGX experience.

Additional Information

Workstyle: This is a remote position with minimal travel.

Typical Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). Flexibility is required to accommodate work schedules and meetings in Central Standard Time (CST) to meet business needs.

Travel: Up to 5% travel annually, potentially outside of your state of residence for team engagement meetings and training.

Work from Home Internet Statement:

  • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended.
  • Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees residing in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses.
  • Humana will provide appropriate telephone equipment for remote employees.
  • Employees must work from a dedicated space free from ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Interview Format: This role will utilize HireVue, an interviewing technology, as part of the hiring process.
