The Lead Product Manager should have 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in personalization or recommendations, with a technical background or familiarity with machine learning and AI. They should possess a track record of building and improving consumer products at scale, strong communication skills, and comfort with ambiguity. Additionally, they need curiosity about dating and the human side of product development, along with an interest in fairness, ethics, and inclusivity of algorithmic systems.
As the Lead Product Manager for Recommendations, the individual will define the product strategy, set the long-term vision, and translate strategy into a roadmap. They will prioritize work, communicate plans, develop features that shape dating experiences, and make decisions grounded in data and research. The role involves collaborating across Hinge teams, championing fairness and integrity in the recommendations system, and partnering with engineering, data science, and research to improve the system’s performance.
