Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of product management experience, ideally within a digital media or technology organization. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams are essential, along with a demonstrated track record of driving product strategy and execution. Familiarity with A/B testing, user research, and data-driven decision-making is required, and the ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team is also necessary. Availability for meetings between 15:00 UTC and 18:00 UTC and occasional international travel up to four times per year are expected.
As the Lead Product Manager, Reader Growth, you will lead the development of modern and engaging Wikipedia learning experiences on both the desktop and mobile websites, driving a cross-functional team to build and deploy features and experiments. You will apply standardized measurement practices and develop creative approaches to learn within a privacy-sensitive environment, tracking and communicating progress through roadmaps, specs, and release plans. Furthermore, you will proactively engage with volunteer communities to gather feedback and collaboratively adapt plans, and maintain an understanding of current developments in knowledge seeking and industry best practices, working with Communications, Marketing, and Legal functions to execute high-profile projects.
