The Lead Network Technology Engineer will maintain specific geographic areas of the transport footprint and deploy network technologies to support the fiber network for the Layer 1 InterCity network. This role involves translating core architecture into technical solutions, leading cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource needs, and managing project funding and documentation. Responsibilities also include managing fiber buffer allocations, developing multi-year budget plans, identifying network assets for retirement, and evaluating opportunities to lease fiber strands from third-party providers.
