Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of relevant and practical experience
  • Any relevant IT Certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency in relational database systems such as BigQuery, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, including complex queries, common table expressions (CTEs), querying, manipulating, creating, modifying, and optimizing database queries for large datasets
  • Proficiency in data modeling fundamentals, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), data flow diagrams, dimensional modeling, multi-dimensional modeling, advanced normalization, and handling intricate relationships
  • Strong documentation skills for maintaining data model diagrams, schema descriptions, and metadata
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git for tracking changes to data models and code
  • Understanding of data governance principles, data stewardship, data cataloging, and skills in data governance, cataloging, and stewardship
  • Skill in optimizing database and query performance, including query execution plans, indexing, caching strategies, and query optimization
  • Experience in enterprise-level data strategy and management of complex data architectures
  • Proficiency in designing comprehensive data models that align with business processes
  • Advanced knowledge of data warehousing

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for data modeling initiatives, aligning them with the organization's vision
  • Mentor junior data modelers and provide leadership in data modeling initiatives
