This is a full-time position.
The role requires the ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in heavy truck or automotive systems including suspensions, steering, general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, and diesel emissions. Expert knowledge and advanced proficiency in chassis components, refuse bodies, air and hydraulic braking systems, engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and heating/AC systems are essential, along with performing complex diagnostics and line maintenance welding.
The Lead Diesel Technician reports to a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager and provides direction to a group of technicians, acting as a mentor and handling supervisory responsibilities as needed.
Strong candidates have the ability to perform unsupervised inspections and repairs on heavy truck systems, plus experience in supervisory or lead roles, ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8), a Class B or higher CDL, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
