Requirements

  • No prior experience strictly necessary, but previous work experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment considered an asset
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) throughout the shift
  • Ability to push and pull
  • Mechanically inclined and able to follow instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and shift work for various production requirements
  • Commitment to safety rules, including wearing full protective personal equipment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outside of public transit

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety rules and procedures
  • Operate equipment to manufacture steel pipe
  • Use various hand and power tools, gas torches, and measuring devices
  • Perform general labour duties
  • Visually inspect products produced at the station
  • Clean the work area
  • Perform computer data entry
