Candidates should possess 3+ years of Systems Administration experience, 1+ years of experience in a cloud-based infrastructure role with development and automation experience, and 1+ years of experience in a DevOps role with scripting/automation experience. They should have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CI/CD workflows and SDLC tools such as Github actions, Jenkins, or Harness, and a passion for best practices and reliable, sustainable, scalable environments. Bonus experience includes exposure to AWS and/or GCP ecosystems, knowledge of JVM languages like Java/Scala/JVM, and experience with IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible or Chef, Kubernetes, and Go/Python.
The Junior Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate with software engineering teams to focus on system operations tasks and software engineer support, helping to increase system reliability and developer productivity. They will perform operational work and small changes with assistance and direction, automate tasks to improve reliability and scalability, apply software engineering principles to system operations, and work on projects and contribute to project planning. They will also support the efforts of engineers in other domains with infrastructural provisioning, access control, and configuration changes, and continue to learn and expand their skills while using Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services, Terraform, Atlantis, Github Actions, Harness, Nexus, Kubernetes and Airflow, as well as Cloud IAM and Google Cloud Logging and Monitoring, utilizing Python, Golang, and Scala.
