Position Overview

At Vanta, our mission is to secure the internet and protect consumer data. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it.

As a Junior Paralegal at Vanta, you will support our G&A teams by managing core operational legal functions across corporate governance, equity administration, and legal operations. This role is a critical foundation for ensuring compliance as we scale globally.

The Legal team at Vanta supports the entire organization across risk, compliance, corporate governance, and operational strategy. We are a collaborative group of attorneys and legal professionals who work closely with People, Finance, and other G&A functions to enable company growth with proactivity and precision.

As Vanta rapidly scales and expands its international footprint, the Junior Paralegal will be central to supporting the day-to-day operations of our legal function. You'll take ownership of essential corporate processes, collaborate across the company, and ensure Vanta’s legal and compliance obligations are met with excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate governance and legal entity maintenance across domestic and international subsidiaries, including compliance filings, state qualifications, and board documentation.
  • Own and improve legal records and documentation workflows, ensuring proper creation, organization, and long-term maintenance.
  • Enable international expansion and maintain subsidiary compliance by coordinating with local counsel and tracking jurisdictional requirements.
  • Maintain Vanta’s equity platform (Carta), including managing employee equity records and supporting compliance-related processes.
  • Assist with operational legal support needs such as KYC requests, Certificates of Insurance, audit responses, and updates to internal legal resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records and legal documentation, ensuring accessibility, version control, and alignment across internal tools and systems.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience as a corporate or legal assistant, paralegal, or legal operations professional in a law firm or in-house team.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to stay on top of recurring and deadline-driven tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow with a high-impact, high-autonomy legal team that moves fast.
  • Familiarity with corporate entity management and/or equity administration tools (e.g., Carta) is a strong plus.

What You Can Expect as a Vantan

  • 100% covered medical, dental, and vision benefits with dependents coverage
  • 16 weeks fully-paid parental Leave for all new parents
  • Health & wellness and remote workplace stipends
