Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, along with at least one year of experience working directly with customers in any industry, and a general knowledge of Ethernet, LAN/MAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocol, Windows, and Linux/UNIX operating systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to utilize the scientific method to solve problems are also required, as is an Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
The Japanese Speaking Technical Support Engineer will provide technical support for Extreme products, primarily wireless and NAC, handling service requests via phone, email, and web, managing service requests through research, problem-solving, and escalation, updating information repositories and knowledge base, assisting customers with basic network configuration and product information, and driving for continuous learning, results orientation, and teamwork.
