Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge operating cleaning equipment (i.e. floor scrubber) preferred
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, and safety procedures
  • Able to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull & lift approximately up to 50 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Manual dexterity
  • Strong communication skills to report issues and collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces in various areas of the distribution center, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, warehouse spaces and grounds
  • Empty all trash cans & replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary
  • Operate manual & mechanical equipment in a safe manner i.e. sweepers, scrubbers, and ride on floor machines
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory levels & notify Supervisor when reordering is needed
  • Maintain janitor closets & equipment in a clean, safe & operable condition
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties
  • Report any safety hazards, malfunctions, or repairs needed to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow SDS recommendations and have chemical safety awareness
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms & common areas
  • Other duties as assigned
