Candidates must possess 10+ years of experience in a technical leadership role managing multiple teams and projects, with a proven track record of shaping strategic roadmaps for the business. They should have experience leading multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with customers, along with a demonstrated success in the aerospace or semiconductor industry in test, characterization, systems engineering, or product quality control. Strong hands-on experience with novel material development, semiconductor industry design/fab, electro-optical hardware/software, information sciences, or machine vision technologies is required, as well as familiarity with data bases, data visualization, and laboratory control software such as Python or MATLAB. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and statistical/data analysis techniques is also necessary, along with an understanding of IR camera sensor package design and applications. US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required. A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Engineering, Math, or Physical Sciences is desired.
The IR Test Manager will lead a diverse multidisciplinary team in characterizing component sensors and EOIR cameras, serving as the interface with other business functions and defining standards for all test activities. They will foster a team with expertise in cryogenic device evaluation, radiometric measurement, imaging camera functionality, and statistical data analysis, responsible for assessing performance quality and conducting product evaluations. The role involves identifying metrics to drive improvement, innovation, and nurturing talent, as well as line management duties including supervision, career development, and training. Organizational growth responsibilities include planning, deploying continuous improvement, new capabilities, and maturing new technologies, and understanding imaging customer needs and tech insertion barriers.
