Requirements

Several years of related experience and/or training
Bachelor’s degree (requirement may be waived based on prior education and/or experience)
Minimum of two years of customer service experience preferred
Ability to obtain the necessary resident and/or non-resident licenses
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn and apply underwriting guidelines

Responsibilities

Assist policyholders with servicing policies
Evaluate coverages for cross-selling opportunities
Process requests from policyholders
Answer policyholder questions regarding existing business
Communicate and work with policyholders and associates at all levels
Establish working relationships with policyholders
Accurately answer questions from policyholders, coordinating with other departments as necessary
Collect pertinent information from policyholders and educate them on various insurance types
Perform frontline underwriting in accordance with Company guidelines on new business applications, renewals, and endorsements
Learn and bind coverage for policyholders
Collect pertinent information to timely and accurately open claims
Coordinate with lenders and mortgage companies
Communicate and explain non-renewal and cancelation decisions to policyholders
Study, obtain, and maintain non-resident licenses
Work with confidential and/or sensitive information
Ensure accurate insurance coverage is provided to customers
Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule
