Candidates must be comfortable with frequent bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs. Prior experience with field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus. Willingness to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck is required, as is comfort driving a work van and occasionally a 1-ton pickup truck or towing a small trailer. Prior use of a tow-behind compressor, stand-on skid steer, or ride-on skid steer is a plus. Must be comfortable working on and around ladders and heights. Handyman-like experience is beneficial. Strong time-management and communication skills are necessary.
Install poles of varying lengths, including digging holes, and mount solar panels and external batteries. Attach license-plate reading cameras with PTZ technology to poles and angle them for optimal footage. Work on public and private roads, often at heights of 10-12 feet, and regularly use a bucket truck or ladder to work up to 30 feet high. Repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring. Adhere to a daily schedule, showing up prepared and completing work in a reasonable timeframe. Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app. Perform administrative tasks including inventory management, reporting, continuing training, and receiving product shipments. Perform work in a safe and professional manner. Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys. Interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings to identify proper installation locations.
