Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree being a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically within Production, Methods, or Continuous Improvement is required. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Kaizen events, A3 DMAIC problem-solving methodology, 5S, management visual, VSM, line balancing, waste reduction, pull flow, Kanban, standardized work, OEE, one-piece flow, and AIC, is essential. Experience with process improvement and productivity gains (cost reduction in manufacturing) is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As an OpEx Leader, the individual will manage continuous improvement projects and develop visual management within operational areas. They will coach problem-solving activities using the A3 DMAIC methodology, support managers and project leaders in applying the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), and animate MPS training sessions. The role involves supporting the improvement of a daily culture of continuous improvement/Lean and Six Sigma/MPS for all site personnel, collaborating with relevant services to identify and pilot process improvement opportunities and productivity gains, and liaising with the Medtronic OpEx network to share best practices. The position also includes managing operations of manufacturing processes, defining operating modes, identifying and costing productivity gains, and working on the shop floor to implement improvement initiatives.
