Requirements

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, and 7+ years of overall experience in software engineering, including full-stack development with modern web technologies. They should possess a track record of growing and mentoring engineers, with a strong commitment to people development and team health, hands-on technical expertise with scalable systems and experience with distributed system design, strong organizational skills and a history of delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders, and the ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technical investment. An understanding of the technical challenges in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, ensuring they are engaged, growing, and delivering high-quality work; manage the delivery of key initiatives that expand the capabilities of our clinical care and pharmacy systems; work closely with Product, Design, Clinical, and Pharmacy teams to align on priorities and drive cross-functional collaboration; build and evolve scalable applications and microservices using technologies like React, GraphQL, NestJS, and PostgreSQL; provide technical guidance and mentorship while actively contributing to architecture and solution design; create a strong team culture of technical excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvement; advocate for engineering best practices, including testing, monitoring, and quality assurance; participate in planning, resourcing, and prioritization discussions to help set direction for the broader Care Technology team; and act as a force multiplier for the team by identifying and proactively resolving blockers.
