Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree or related education along with 4+ years of millwright experience related to mechanics, mechatronics, or electromechanics
  • 2+ years of experience in Baker Hughes or similar rotating equipment including site operation, commissioning, and start-up
  • Experienced with gas turbines within the O/G industry
  • Ideally certified as apprentice industrial mechanics (millwrights) or in process for such certification
  • Able and willing to work on Field Services outages 60-70% of the time including projects in the Americas region both on-shore and off-shore sites
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and be physically capable in a manufacturing environment
  • Capable of reading and understanding mechanical drawings and specifications in detail, including instrument specifications and mechanical auxiliaries
  • Capable of working with hydraulic tooling devices, control fixtures, disassembling and reassembling machinery, rigging, and lifting

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation and maintenance services of systems and equipment, including ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration under Field Specialist supervision
  • Handle all on-site (customer or BH site) life extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities, including onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics
  • Manage all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property, mainly within the Canada region
  • Contribute to maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products, including all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial)
  • Manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering
