Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of experience in industrial maintenance preferred
Basic knowledge of computer applications
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist, and walk
Availability to respond to emergency situations
Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools and tool usage
Working knowledge of automated electronic equipment operation and control systems
Familiarity with OSHA regulations
Forklift certified

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance checks and preventive maintenance on all equipment according to schedules
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal problems
Work with outside contractors for service and repair of equipment, communicating as needed
Assist in installing new equipment, including vendor selection, specifications, and testing
Order replacement parts and supplies as required
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using available software programs and generate reports
Purchase materials and supplies as directed
Recommend the purchase of new equipment and capital improvements, preparing justification data
Coordinate equipment moves within the plant as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
