Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key indirect categories (IT hardware/software/SaaS, Professional Services like consulting/legal/engineering, MRO, consumables, R&D collaborations); identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on total cost of ownership, quality, reliability, and strategic fit
  • Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations for agreements including MSAs, SOWs, and licensing agreements; negotiate favorable commercial and intellectual property terms with specialized providers like national laboratories, university research labs, and advanced technical services
  • Take full ownership of procurement for facility-related needs, including sourcing and managing contracts for building maintenance, repairs, capital equipment, security services, janitorial, waste management, utilities, and small-scale construction/lab build-out projects
  • Develop, review, and manage the full lifecycle of supplier agreements (MSAs, NDAs, Purchase Order terms and conditions), ensuring compliance and mitigating risk
  • Oversee the complete procure-to-pay lifecycle, from requisition review and PO placement to tracking and closure, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key indirect suppliers as primary point of contact for contractual/commercial matters; conduct regular business reviews to drive performance
  • Analyze market trends and total cost of ownership to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities across indirect spend categories
  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to indirect procurement (supplier financial health, service level failures, data security)
  • Work seamlessly with internal stakeholders across departments to understand requirements, resolve supply issues, and support company-wide programs
