Requirements

Associate Degree in HVAC or graduate of state-approved Plumbing or HVAC-related apprenticeship program
Minimum of three years of industrial HVAC systems experience

Responsibilities

Service, operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, steam, boilers, commercial kitchen equipment, and other mechanical building systems
Provide continual coverage to maintain the required environment for critical data center functions through proper operation of HVAC building systems
Identify, troubleshoot, isolate, and repair failures in HVAC and building systems, working with internal teams and external vendors
Manage special projects from design through installation, researching best practices while incorporating safety and regulatory issues
Schedule and monitor progress and completion of installation and maintenance work performed by service contractors on HVAC building systems
Maintain and repair problems associated with domestic water supply, water management devices (drains, pumps), and fire protection systems; investigate and resolve leaks, clogs, and perform minor or emergency plumbing repairs
Assist with maintaining and testing fire protection, emergency generators, and life safety equipment; respond to data center fire protection system emergencies
Perform maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment, including testing and repairing control system components for refrigeration, cooking, and exhaust
Perform or oversee preventative maintenance and repairs on elevators, escalators, fitness center equipment, and miscellaneous systems, or coordinate external vendors
Repair equipment utilizing welding and other metal fabrication skills
Maintain chillers, booster and circulating pumps, cooling towers, and related HVAC equipment; respond to system failures and emergencies
Monitor HVAC systems via automated building control systems, adjust air handling units for efficiency and comfort, determine run schedules and alarm points, and recommend software changes to Building Automation Systems Technician
Monitor Variable Frequency Drives for pumps, air handling units, and water treatment systems; override or adjust as necessary
Ensure operation and maintenance of Auto Flame High-Pressure Boiler Control system and associated equipment
Respond to calls from WE Energies to shed natural gas usage load
Assess service contracts to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
Serve on Relocation Team to assess impact and coordinate relocation-related HVAC activity
As a member of the Emergency Response Team, assist with routine medical situations, building evacuations, and monitoring severe weather conditions
Maintain prints and documentation relating to systems and Business Resumption Plans
Ensure proper inventory levels of parts, tools, and materials; research catalogs, Internet, and vendors for parts and supplies; complete requisition forms
