Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the business to diagnose short- and long-term local, regional, and cross-functional human capital needs
  • Ability to work independently and hands-on in a matrix organization
  • Experience providing strategic HR consultative support and partnering with HR Centers of Excellence (COE)
  • Capability to translate strategic and local operating plans into HR strategic and operational plans
  • Skills in identifying organizational capabilities, talent pipelines, competency/knowledge/talent gaps, and developing staffing strategies, implementation plans, and programs for attraction, development, and retention of top talent
  • Experience supporting Compensation and Benefits benchmarking and assessing competitiveness against comparable companies, industries, and markets in Korea
  • Ability to champion and facilitate HR tools, processes, and infrastructure setup for business growth and compliance with global/regional practices
  • Proficiency in documenting/creating HR tools/templates, facilitating onboarding, managing employee life cycle, and handling local HR administrative tasks (including partnerships with Finance/Legal)
  • Accountability as primary point of contact for local HR activities and employees
  • Collaboration skills with business leaders, Talent Acquisition, and broader HR team to map business requirements, define position descriptions, and ensure timely, compliant HR service delivery
  • Troubleshooting and resolution skills for HR issues

Responsibilities

  • Support and align with regional and global HRBPs for local HR business partnering activities
  • Translate strategic and local operating plans into HR strategic and operational plans
  • Identify organizational capabilities and talent pipeline required to execute business strategy
  • Develop staffing strategies, implementation plans, and programs to identify/retain internal talent and attract external talent for Korea
  • Identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps and develop specific, effective, timely practices to fill them
  • Support Compensation and Benefits to benchmark and assess competitiveness of programs/practices against relevant comparables in Korea
  • Collaborate with broader HR team to coordinate and integrate business support
  • Serve as member of regional APAC People & Support Care (PS&C) team
  • Champion and facilitate setup of HR tools, processes, infrastructure for people growth aligned with business growth
  • Document and create necessary tools/templates and drive in-country HR compliance aligned with global/regional PS&C practices
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and manage all aspects of employee life cycle
  • Attend to local HR administrative tasks, partnering with Finance/Legal as appropriate
  • Act as primary point of contact for all local HR activities and first point of contact for local employees
  • Partner with business leaders and HR community to ensure timely, compliant HR service delivery
  • Troubleshoot issues and drive resolutions with appropriate parties
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Business to build understanding of requirements, map role criteria, define position descriptions, and requisitions
