Requirements

  • Degree level in Human Resources or related discipline is highly desirable
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in leading/managing a diverse team within HR Shared Services environment in a regional/APAC capacity
  • Strong fluency in English both in writing and speaking

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of two workstreams within the AskHR APAC team
  • Responsible for the performance management, career development and KPI of all team members which may come from diverse backgrounds
  • Lead the implementation of processes, procedures and policies necessary to manage a multi-tiered shared service HR while driving towards standardization
  • Consult, advise and collaborate and forge strong partnership with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Business Partners to ensure optimum operation of HR applications and services
  • Responsible for the learning and development of the AskHR team on the HR applications, processes and procedures in place within Medtronic HR with support from the leadership
  • Design, implement and execute ASK HR strategies with support from leadership, partner with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and proactively resolves HR and business issues, provides solutions through organizational effectiveness and employee life cycle management, anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management, responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison in key projects
  • Build strong partnership and collaborate with other back office support functions: IT, Finance, RDA on ensuring integrated solution for interrelated data points & processes
  • Drive operational excellence and adherence to standardized work and procedure, proactively support the adoption of Lean culture
  • Coach Team Members to identify, resolve and/or escalate as appropriate problems that arise using A3 DMAIC process to identify root cause of issues, ensure quality of service of the ASK HR team
  • Together with the ASK HR Leader, drive, lead and/or support regional and global initiatives, perform a back-up role for the ASK HR Leader when necessary
  • Promote and support a positive and inclusive team environment where respect for the individual is valued, contribute to a culture of recognition recognizing colleagues where appropriate
