Candidates should possess at least 5 years of progressive HR experience in a U.S. organization, with a minimum of 2 years directly managing multi-state HR operations, and a strong understanding of federal employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO. They should have hands-on experience interpreting and applying diverse state statutes related to wage-payment, leave, discrimination, and other relevant regulations.
The HR Manager will advise leadership on compliance risks, draft policy updates, and lead investigations of employee complaints or potential violations; oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate tax withholdings and wage-payment compliance across multiple state jurisdictions; manage benefits enrollment and administration, including open-enrollment and employee communications; lead recruiting efforts, including drafting job descriptions, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews; and oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are set up for success.
