Candidates should have 3-7 years of HR experience, ideally in a tech or software environment. A strong understanding of labor laws and general HR compliance is required, along with hands-on experience with HR systems such as Rippling or BambooHR. The ability to manage multiple HR processes with attention to detail is essential, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills to support employees at all levels. Experience with performance management and employee relations is necessary, and experience with learning and development programs or training facilitation is a bonus.
The HR Generalist will own and refine the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires. They will automate onboarding workflows using HRMS and manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and compliance documentation. Staying up to date with California and federal employment laws is crucial, as is providing guidance on wage and hour laws and supporting compliance audits. Acting as the HRMS administrator, they will ensure accuracy in HR data and continuously improve HR workflows. Additionally, the role may involve assisting in performance review cycles, supporting employee relations cases, and fostering a culture of open communication and professional growth.
