Requirements

  • Expertise in nutritional requirements, regulatory compliance, menu development, disaster planning, and Group Purchasing Organizations for Acute Care, Senior Living, and Long-Term Care sectors
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (Sysco’s CRM tool)
  • Thorough understanding of Sysco’s Healthcare Ingenium Valued Services and value proposition
  • Understanding of third-party integrations (e.g., DSSI, CBORD)
  • Skills in data analytics, market insights, sales analysis, and team selling
  • Ability to work in NYC Metro Region (Connecticut, Long Island, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute targeted Healthcare sales strategies to gain market share, achieve region and individual annual business goals, and support GSC Healthcare initiatives for profitable sales growth across categories, specialty segments, and Sysco brand
  • Identify customer and prospect needs to assemble product mixes that deliver solutions and help achieve business objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, chefs, and sales team members to champion team selling; track activities and results, collaborate on opportunities using Salesforce, and leverage sampling to close sales
  • Support execution of prioritized sales strategies through direct selling and engagement at Sysco events (e.g., Healthcare Seminars with CEU accreditation submission) and regional industry events (e.g., tradeshows, ANFP, AHF chapters, AHCA, SDA)
  • Market and support Sysco Healthcare value-added services; provide local customer support, nutritional system tools, referrals to consultant RDs for regulatory compliance, and emergency preparation product recommendations
  • Act as single point of contact for Healthcare, connecting regions to Global Support Center (Healthcare Team, VPNAs/Sr. NAMs); maintain understanding of Marketing Team, VPNA’s/Sr. NAMs, and third-party integrations
  • Conduct local customer business reviews with recommendations on cost-saving and efficiency opportunities; provide local coordination for NCOB new customer onboarding
  • Provide feedback to specialty companies and merchandising on product quality, integrity, mix, customer satisfaction, perceived value, and competition
  • Analyze sales, suggest programs, explain benefits of Ingenium Valued Services, and conduct customer business reviews; work with Healthcare Marketing, Merchandising, Sales Departments, Brokers, Vendors, professional associations, and Culinary Specialists; participate in sales and marketing activities
  • Prioritize time, targets, and team selling efforts (GSC and Regional) based on market insights and data analytics in coordination with the business development team
