The ideal candidate possesses over 10 years of experience in silicon operations, supply chain, or production within semiconductor or hardware systems companies. Expertise is required in leading execution across advanced silicon nodes (e.g., 5nm, 3nm) and modern packaging techniques (e.g., CoWoS). A strong background in managing relationships with Tier-1 foundries, OSATs, and material suppliers is essential, along with a deep understanding of the silicon lifecycle from tape-out to production ramp. Excellent program management skills and the ability to build operational systems from scratch in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Willingness to travel up to 25% is also required.
The Head of Silicon Operations will drive and coordinate the operational execution of silicon programs, managing the entire process from wafer start through bring-up, validation, and volume production. This role involves owning critical relationships with internal teams and external manufacturing partners, aligning schedules, requirements, and deliverables across engineering, packaging, validation, and manufacturing. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining end-to-end production schedules and capacity plans, managing procurement timelines and logistics for key silicon components, and proactively identifying and mitigating production risks. The Head of Silicon Operations will track work-in-progress, yield, and quality metrics, drive debug and yield improvement plans, and own silicon demand forecasting and executive reporting to ensure successful product delivery at scale.
