Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced technical degree being strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering operations, program management, or chief of staff roles, preferably within tech, robotics, automotive, or mobility industries, is required. Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives or acting as a chief of staff in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is essential. Proven ability to lead through influence, manage ambiguity, and drive outcomes across diverse teams is necessary. Expert-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience in project management and business intelligence tools, is expected. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, coupled with high integrity, discretion, and adaptability, are crucial. Knowledge of electric vehicles, ADAS/AD systems, and the automotive product development lifecycle is a plus.
The Head of Operations will partner with the VP of ADAS/AD to define and implement departmental goals, vision, and priorities, aligning them with company strategy. This role involves developing and owning the operational roadmap, driving initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and delivery quality, and establishing standardized KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for data-driven decision-making. The position also includes leading strategic planning cycles, such as annual operating plans, resource and headcount planning, and budget forecasting. Responsibilities extend to monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to support operational and product strategy, driving continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and workflows, and fostering collaboration across Product, Engineering, Finance, HR, and other cross-functional teams. The Head of Operations will manage departmental operations, including leading and documenting reviews, meetings, and key milestones, as well as preparing and presenting executive-level updates with metrics, status updates, and initiatives. This includes translating complex technical and operational data into actionable insights for stakeholders and supporting the VP with analyses and communication preparation.
