Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent work experience, with over 5 years of experience in building and shipping production-quality software, primarily in Linux-based environments. A strong background in modern C++ and Python development, along with experience building tooling for large systems and a commitment to quality through testable design, is required. Experience developing projects from initial design to customer release, familiarity with robotics middleware platforms and concepts like inter-process communication or logging, and experience designing software for constrained environments or interfacing with hardware are preferred.
The Senior Software Engineer will develop embedded applications and frameworks for provisioning, executing, instrumenting, and monitoring self-driving stacks on vehicles, hardware benches, and simulations. Responsibilities include building on-vehicle services, creating frameworks for configuring self-driving software across various environments and platforms, developing systems for monitoring vehicle status and data exfiltration, collaborating with and mentoring other developers, and delivering complex projects through incremental development.
