Requirements

  • 8+ years of work experience in product marketing, brand marketing, or demand gen marketing, including recent work in the developer tools AI space
  • Managed and led marketing teams to success, with verifiable results
  • Ready and excited to roll up your sleeves to do core product and brand marketing work yourself (strategy building, content creation, social media marketing, user and customer interviews, and more)
  • Think quantitatively, comfortable making tough prioritization decisions backed by data, and owning most important marketing metrics
  • Worked in an environment serving enterprise customers
  • Think fast, work fast, and comfortable putting bold ideas and yourself out there
  • Enjoy writing and consider yourself a strong writer
  • Track record of success in speaking authentically to a developer audience and building/leading teams that deliver results
  • Storyteller, excited to work with engineers and go-to-market teams to craft a story that connects with enterprise audience
  • Strong interest in generative AI and its applications in developer tools

Responsibilities

  • Report to the CEO
  • Manage existing Demand Gen, Growth, Marketing Ops, and DevRel teams
  • Build and execute marketing strategies, working closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to tell Sourcegraph's story
  • Lead technical product marketing and brand marketing to bring the story of Sourcegraph's core Search technology (Deep Search, Sourcegraph MCP and API, Batch Changes, Code Monitors) to life in the market
  • Ensure alignment with and results from Demand Gen and DevRel teams
  • Reset and re-tell the story of Sourcegraph as critical AI infrastructure for enterprises in the agentic coding era
