Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams, with a minimum of one year in a Director-level role. They should have a proven track record of building, scaling, and evolving engineering organizations, demonstrating an understanding of the balance between process and rapid execution.
The Head of Engineering will grow and develop a high-performing team, lead and support Engineering Managers and individual contributors across multiple pods, set clear expectations, coach for growth, and build a culture of accountability and continuous learning. They will champion hiring and onboarding frameworks, drive engineering strategy and execution, partner with the CTO and VP Product to shape a technology roadmap, design engineering org structures that scale, build operational maturity, raise the bar on performance and reliability, and cultivate a strong engineering quality bar. Additionally, they will collaborate with product-facing and customer-facing teams to ensure engineering alignment with customer needs and company goals, and serve as a cultural leader by modeling company values and advocating for their team.
